THE world’s largest international youth football tournament. 
1900 teams from 75 nations take part and they play almost 5000 games on 112 pitches.

We are holding trials to select talented players for both boys’ and girls’ teams across the official age groups. Gothia Cup teams compete across a wide range of youth categories (U11 through U18)

PLAYER TRIALS FOR 2027

We encourage all players to trial at all standards, from club and schools.

Signed EPPP + PGA academy players are allowed to play in the competition but it will be down to the individual clubs to provide the appropriate permissions.

We believe in participation over exclusion. We endeavour to accomodate all trialists - however its not always possible due to squad selection and limited spaces.

Successful trialists will have the opportunity to represent their country + school on the international stage at one of the most prestigious youth football festivals in the world!

United Football Collective Player Selection
At United Football Collective, we exist to bring players together — from different clubs, schools, and backgrounds — and give them the opportunity to experience football on an international stage.
Our trials are designed to identify, assess, and place players into the most suitable teams based on their age, ability, and stage of development. Players are welcome to attend from any school, grassroots club, or academy across the UK, creating a truly united environment where talent and passion for the game come together.
We believe in participation over exclusion. Our trial process is not simply about selecting a few players — it’s about understanding each individual and placing them in the right environment to compete, develop, and thrive alongside players at a similar level.
Because at United, football is about bringing players together, creating opportunities, and growing stronger as one collective.
United Football Collective Rep Teams
Players will participate in a two-day training camp and team games prior to heading to Gothenburg, Sweden. Players will then have the chance to compete against other grassroots and professional academy teams in the UK in preparation for their trip to the Gothia Cup 2027.
